Callum Richings, from the Head Office Accounts Team, recently left us to spend time volunteering in Africa, working with a project called Charity Academy for the New Charity School & Sports Project which supports disadvantaged children through their love of sport, particularly football.
In answer to his request for donations, Pete Thomas, our charity retail lead, ventured into his loft and located 12 match day kits from a previous era, which he kindly donated to this worthwhile cause.
Callum said “Within the local community there are unfortunately a lot disadvantaged orphaned children, young teens and vulnerable young women. The charity helps give them a chance they may not have had through sport, whilst also providing a basic level of education. Once I arrive in Tanzania, I will be shipping out all donations that I have received, which includes the most amazing match day kit which was donated by Pete Thomas, who I cannot thank enough!”
“Please follow me via my Instagram to keep in touch with everything that is happening: further information can be found in my gofundme link. The journey hasn’t even started yet and I have been overwhelmed by everyone’s help and kind words!”
